Capture by Lucy® is a multi award winning lifestyle blog founded in 2012 by Lucy Heath, a natural light commercial photographer.
We are the Heath family - Richard and I met at school in the lower sixth form and got married in the school chapel in August 2005. Sammy was born in 2009 and Ollie completed our family in the summer of 2011.
We bought a 300 year old farmhouse in September 2014 and call this our forever home. Our neighbour in the cottage behind us grew up in our house and loves to tell the boys about her childhood, sleeping in the very same attic bedroom they share when all the garden and fields were full of dairy cows.
This blog features home interiors, recipe and craft ideas, party styling, inspiration for our renovations and our travel adventures. We visit my brother in America every year and over the summer we are off to Greece and Spain, squeezing in a week at our beloved family holiday home on the Dorset coast in Southbourne with the cousins.
We work with like minded family and lifestyle brands to develop creative original marketing content, showcasing products and experiences to engage their target audience. I write about the places that inspire me, the stores and boutiques I think my audience would want to shop in and content that is helpful and will make them smile. My family loves fun, we share our happy times and our positive attitude to life. I regularly speak at conferences and events to help others develop their photography skills and am well respected and connected within the parenting and lifestyle blog communities. The UK blog community is supportive and thriving and it's a pleasure to be part of a new generation of entrepreneurial parents working around their children in a creative way.
I write with one person in mind - you. I want you to feel as though we are sat together, on my sofa or in the garden with a cup of tea, talking like two old friends. Blogging is about creating a digital album of memories for my millennial babies, being able to record the milestones but also all the everyday moments in between.

My commercial photography and editorial work is featured in lifestyle magazines, online sources, marketing literature and my first recipe book for the international gluten free bakery Honeybuns, based in Dorset, will be published in 2019. I shoot lifestyle product imagery at home and on location.

With the help of my husband Richard and our sons Sammy and Ollie we create lifestyle content, a real family promoting and partnering with brands we love, in a positive and inspiring way. I am passionate about creating unique content for the brands I collaborate with, content that sits alongside their company blog style and ethos with high quality professional photography and original story telling in the copy.
