Weekend Discoveries

The internet is a never ending story book of places, people and things waiting to be discovered.

It's been a short while since my last weekend discoveries post so here's what I have become besotted with lately.

Print your own temporary tattoos. Awesome, especially for mothers of 2 boys! I am super cool right now. I got the idea from this post. Post coming up soon...

Anthropologie aprons. Yes, yes, yes I am sure I could whip up my own for far less money but on the basis I can't sew and these are beyond divine, it's going straight on the Christmas wish list and the sewing machine can stay in it's box.

Walnut wood tray from Scarlett Willow. I am sure I have mentioned this company and this wonderful product before, but I am shouting even louder this time! I LOVE it! Now to conquer the art of macaron making so I have something beautiful to display on it, if I am lucky enough to get one, one day!

Make your day DIY, all day long is a $12 pdf ebook of over 150 pages of ideas. Get inspired.

These sublime tote bags are decorated with delicate photos. I would adore this one for all my baking bits, instead of all the plastic storage boxes.

What could be more exciting (other than print your own tattoos) to my boys than an animal projector torch. Father Christmas needs to read this post. £6.95 and an ideal gift for other little ones you know.

If you are a blogger, are you looking for ways to spruce up your photos? This is the post for you. A great round up from Shrimp Salad Circus of different ways to display your blog photos. Think Pinterest perfect too!

OH MY DAYS! My ultimate shopping experience has just opened in Clevedon. 20 minutes away! Woo hoo! A mix of vintage items and handmade goodies in an artisan emporium 19 Alexandra Road.  I am there, asap and will take lots of lovely photos for you all to see!

Beyond the Camera magazine is almost too pretty not to be in print but this pdf version is ace for all of us to read and admire.

I made some bow tie bunting out of crepe paper for Sammy's birthday in May but duct tape bunting is new to me! Follow to tutorial here to make your own.

A new food blog Plated Stories, I have found this week almost made me raid the piggy bank and sign up for their week long course.... in Tuscany. Almost. Beautiful styling, story telling and creativity, check it out now.

We love playing music around the house and these playlists from The Effortless Chic blog might get you listening to something new and inspiring. I don't know about your house, but we have Gangnam Style on loop. Here is November

And finally, did you know it's been 25 years since the tv wedding of the century, when Scott and Charlene were married in Neighbours?! Crumbs that makes me feel so old!

Happy weekend all. We are having breakfast out today, what a treat!

Linking up with the AR-Blog and their Besotted series.

30th Birthday Party

There are some days where every minute you need to take a mental picture.

Yesterday was one of those days.

I am so lucky that my family and Richard's family all get on so well (They've known each other almost 15 years!) and we gave my sister the most wonderful big birthday!

I'm not sure if life can get any better than this. Well, only if the American contingent were with us. Roll on Christmas Eve!

Me and Mine - A Family Portrait Project October

This month has felt full of happiness and sadness.

Sadness thinking about all the families going through awful times and happiness in being grateful for our two healthy boys.

It's easy to get caught up in materialistic things, having nice clothes, nice cars, nice houses. But what really matters is your family and their health.

I am feel incredibly thankful this month and am praying for those less fortunate than us.

It was fairly early on this month that I snapped our Me and Mine photo. The camera was balanced on the dashboard, we were soaking wet, throwing breadsticks and sausage rolls to The Boy and Me (Thank you for your photos which I used in black and white.) and her family in the car next to us at Leigh Woods and we were happy.

Happy making memories getting drenched in the woods, with 3 little boys honouring a little girl.

On the 2nd November families are going to come together to support a family and help raise money for all the families helped by The Lullaby Trust, raising donations and awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. I hope that you will join all the other families on the 2nd November, or if you can't make it, like I can't, donate something, however large or small, it all makes a difference.

You can buy tickets here

And there's going to be a competition. A good one. If you've read my posts before you will know we have a wonderful family place by the sea in Southbourne. That Jennie and David and Esther and William stayed in shortly after the lost Tilda. It was the very least I could do, to help a family in need.

And now I'd like to offer another family a visit to our lovely haven by the sea. So watch out for the competition on Edspire soon.

Please do check out Lauren's blog and her sweet family. Like me, she has two darling boys and it's always a pleasure to see her photos.

Now you've seen me and mine, show me you and yours!

dear beautiful
