Photo a Day May - something I wore today

Joining in on day 3 of Fat Mum Slim's Photo a Day May challenge. What else could it be than something I wore to hoard off the rain!

We are off to Peppa Pig World this weekend, come rain or shine, so I bought us and our best friends, an 89p emergency rain mac from the supermarket! Stylish oh no, practical oh yes!

Here I am trying it on for size! Plus it doubled as a great buggy rain cover, which I thought was in the boot but it wasn't, when we went to Clifton this afternoon!

Snap Happy BritMums - School days

Ok so there was only ever one photo I could share for school days for the BritMums Snap Happy photo challenge. Mustard yellow wool blazers that stank when they got wet!

It is the same smell when the dogs have been out in the rain!

It was the happiest and most carefree time in my life, when all three of us were at school together.

I can't wait to have a photo of my boys in their little uniforms once day!

PYO - the best kind of flowers

I rushed to the supermarket this morning at 8am as my in laws are staying tonight and I wanted some bits for the fridge and some nice flowers for the house. I was so disappointed with the selection of flowers. They all looked more than a little bit ropey and there was no way they would last 7 days, 24 hours might have been pushing it!

So I returned home empty handed. However, when I pulled up on the drive, I saw that there were some lovely bright flowers, growing in the bush in the front garden (don't get me to tell you what they are, as a keen gardener I am not). So out we went armed with a trug and the scissors and snipped some beauties.

Even if they don't last very long, it is so lovely to have flowers in the house from our garden.

Definitely going to plant some bulbs at the end of the summer, so we will have our very own flower garden next year.
