Over on Me and My Shadow there are some brilliant second hand finds. My find on Sunday was this cake stand for 50p! Yes that's right!

I couldn't believe it, especially as I thought I had done so well last week for my friend's birthday, with a glass cake stand from my favourite antique shop. But I can tell you it was significantly more than that!

When I got it home my husband said "why do you need that, you never make cakes?!" so I have put it straight to good use.

Big boy always reaches out and says when he sees a melon, "hold it a big one lemon!"

The grass is definitely greener than usual at the moment. But that is down to all the rain we have had. Miserable weather for boys who want to be out in the garden playing.

We all got lulled into a false sense of security this weekend, that summer was making an early appearance, but no, back to today and the heavens have opened. Shame I didn't get the washing in last night, it's a soggy mess on the line!

As soon as I saw that today's theme was mirror image, for the snap happy BritMums photo challenge, I knew there was only one photo I could post. It had to be this one from our photography archives! Big boy was a month off his first birthday. You see now why we call him the big boy, that shirt was age 2!

I hope it's not cheating to put an old photo on, but you see now why it had to be this one! It was our party trick!
