Our Hutton Jubilee

So I had built my big boy up all day about how we were off to the Hutton party for the Queen. Turns out it was more of a picnic in the park, bring your own picnic and listen to the band and drink from the bar!

Fine for the adults, but I had a very disappointed 3 year old saying "Oh Mama, there's no bouncy castle!"

We stayed for a drink, which was very pleasant and then headed off! Luckily we have membership at Puxton Park! We have been so many times, just for an hour or so, that we have paid for our annual membership at least 10 times over! Have a nose at my next post - amazing what fun you can have in the last hour and a half of the day!

Sunday Jubilee Brunch

There is something about knowing you have two more days off all together, that makes a lazy Sunday morning even better. Incredibly, small boy slept until 8am (the latest he has slept in his whole 11 months) and big boy woke up at 8.45am.

So breakfast became brunch and after a quick trip to Tesco Express, my husband came home with a variety of naughty but delicious goodies!

I managed to get the boys dressed in their Jubilee red, white and blue but please excuse my lack of make up and glasses! It was technically first thing, even though it was 10am!

Jubilee decorations before the rain came!
jubileedecs-5.jpg

The Queen absolutely rained over us today! God save our magnificent Queen! I have so much admiration for her, she stands up all day long and she's 86!

Our decorations have become a soggy mess after the rain pelted down just after 6pm, but at least we enjoyed them for almost all of the day!
