Master Messyish

This week Dear Beautiful Boy's See it Snap it Love it is Messy. I have to be honest and say that I find the weaning and finger food stage incredibly hard.

I can't bear the mess!

The smearing and the dribbling making a paste around their mouths and hands! Ghastly!

Of course small boy does eat finger food but I'm not ready to let him pick up a bowl of spaghetti bolognese, not sure I ever will be!

Here's my only slightly messy photo! Sweetcorn in the toes, water all over the floor and a happy boy! Who says they need to be head to toe in yoghurt to enjoy tea time!

Do me a favour?!

I was like an elf in Santa's work shop last night! I made up 22 beautiful (if I do say so myself) favours for the wedding rehearsal meal, ahead of my brother's big day next Friday! I made them from squares of muslin fabric, little gardening fibre pots and stuffed them with a red, white an blue lollypop, a few Werthers Original sweets to suck on, while we wait for the arrival of the Bride and a packet of tissues in case anyone gets emotional during the ceremony!

I used an elastic band to hold the muslin in place, wrapped red, blue and white twine round it and attached a little paper label, adored with a bow in various patriotic patterns! My miniature stamp set was just right for the lettering!

A perfect little package for the big day!

I have got all sorts of bits to pack in the suitcase for the rehearsal meal, which I will share in another post! It is all a vintage British and American theme!
