My week in photos

It's all about photos. Photos, photos, photos, but not necessarily for me.

I am working on wedding photos, bakery photos and took some lovely pictures of our day out at the Pretty Nostalgic gathering yesterday. Those ones are for me.

In fact when my tiny niece came to stay for a couple of days I only took a couple of iPhone snaps!

We just enjoyed the time together.

Check back in this week. I have lots of lovely things to share. My 24 hours at Pedlars, the glorious gathering, a pickling attempt and a couple of Halloween sweet treats. I also have a very special Me and Mine Family Portrait Project post this month.

Family is everything at the moment.

Favourite Halloween Costumes from Oh Happy Day

It's been a little while since my last weekend discoveries post so I thought I'd share one of my favourites, which maybe new to you.

There are some blogs that tick every box for me.

Creative, inspirational, adventurous and there has never been one post which I haven't gasped as I read it.

Oh Happy Day is a party and lifestyle blog and is on my top 5 to read every day.

This blog stirs my creative soul and no more so than in their inventive costume ideas posts.

Check them out! The fashion icon series have to be my favourite!

Oh Happy Day Costume Ideas.jpg

There are enough ideas on Oh Happy Day for 20 Halloweens!

This year I spied a Top Gun dressing up outfit (yes I know it's cheating but I am on a serious time saving exercise this year) so I am hoping to source another or make something similar so the boys can be Maverick and Goose!

Will you be dressing up your little ones this year?

What have you discovered around the internet this week?

Happy Saturday.

Easy Halloween Ideas

I have no time. Life is pulling us in a hundred directions and whilst we LOVE it, it means I have to find some shortcuts.

So here are 2 super easy ideas for your Halloween party that (if I do say so myself) look ace.

Mini meringue ghosts.

You need 2 ingredients.

  1. a black icing pen
  2. mini meringue sprinkles from Tesco

Dot 2 eyes on your tiny ghosts and voila! Arrange as a mini army for a super effect.

Tomato Pumpkins.

I love the idea of getting the boys to try new things, especially when you can make them fun.

You need 2 ingredients:

  1. cherry tomatoes
  2. orange candy melts

Melt your packet of candy melts according to the instructions. Dip your tomatoes in the melted mix and leave to dry on a cooling rack for 15 minutes. Display on moss to look as though the pumpkins are straight from the patch!
