We have been asked to bring in pictures of the Queen at preschool, as they are learning about the Jubilee. I popped to a local charity shop and found a book on the Golden Jubilee for 50p!

I sat with my big boy and we went through all the pictures, cutting out the ones he liked (mostly with animals in!).

So tonight, I will be reading big boy's 'Book about our Queen'

I know the saying goes, smooth as a babies bottom, but clearly whoever came up with that slogan, hadn't felt my small boy's feet! It is the smoothest thing I could think of, smoother than a pebble that has been worn down by the tide! Which is the other thing that came into my mind for day 16 of the Snap Happy BritMums photo challenge.

It's a miracle they are so silky smooth, as he never seems to keep his socks on!

I love the way he sits in his highchair, using his toes to hold on like a baby monkey!

Ok, so I have found myself spending a small fortune on our son's 3rd birthday party, which is still 2 weeks away. My birthday parties were legendary when I was young, my mother still maintains she was the first person to invent party boxes, containing the party meal in one!

Thanks to Pinterest, I now have a million and one ideas for his Wonder Pets inspired party!

A quick blast up the motorway to Hobbycraft at Cribbs Causeway earlier this evening, and we are almost set!

I have party bag favours ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, all of which I hope will result in squeals of delight from his 28 guests! 28 - good grief!

So here is the party explosion in our lounge....
