I'm going to be a Bride ... again!

No I am not getting remarried. (Nevertheless who wouldn't want to do it all over again now you are older and wiser?!) I am going to be a model for a Bridal show! How exciting!

I have roped in my sister and two of my lovely friends to join me at a local Wedding Fair in the Autumn. My hairdresser, Tracy Pallari, is a very talented bridal hair and make up artist and is coordinating a show with a local bridal boutique, So Gorgeous.

She was hoping my Mum would take part as the model mother of the bride but at the moment she is working! I have begged her to try and swap her shift (she is ground staff at T5 Heathrow for BA) as I think we will spend the day giddy with excitement!

I will of course be posting lots about the organisers and the Fair, when all the details are fully confirmed so keep checking back in!

I have spent the last week pinning all my fantasy gowns (the bigger the better in most cases) and hope that I can plead with the boutique owner to let me wear a totally magnificent, possibly over the top gown, as my wedding dress was classic and relatively demure. (I still love it but wouldn't mind the chance of being a princess for the day again!)

My hairdresser says that as I always wear my hair down she is going to give me an "up do" yikes!

Wishing for something fabulous like these fantasy dresses of mine! Check out my Pinterest board for the rest!

The Big Day

I know it must seem strange that I haven't posted any photographs from the actual wedding (my brother got married on the 29th June in America). The truth is I hardly took any. I know - me - the girl with a camera permanently attached to my nose.

My husband was the Best Man and I really didn't want my Mum and Sister "on duty". I wanted them to enjoy the wedding for themselves. This meant that I was totally run off my feet chasing two boys around and that if it was possible to enjoy any part of the wedding for myself, when the boys were entertained for 2 minutes, I wanted to take it!

We all had the time of our lives but of course now we are home, I am desperately sad I don't have my usual hours of editing to do.

As soon as I get my cd of the official photographs I will share some of my favourites, as there were lots of little details I can't wait to post about.

Sometimes you can be so busy with capturing the moment that you miss the moment! So I decided to leave it to the professionals!

My darling brother and my beautiful sister in law.

A little birdie on Etsy told me ...

I discovered this sweet shop on Etsy called Flightless Bird Design by Amanda Faye. She sells all sorts of cute jewellery, prints, accessories and tea wallets!

I purchased the Boats on the Water design, but instead of keeping the sachets of herbal tea that we keep in stock for my Mother in Law in it, I am going to use it for my cards that I don't have room for in my wallet! Like gift cards, store loyalty cards etc. It is beautifully made and the print is adorable.

I think they would make a great gift for a friend who has just announced she's pregnant, as I used to carry around a freezer bag with decaf tea bags in it when I was pregnant, which got horridly mucky in the bottom of my handbag.

At around £14 (depending on the exchange rate) they are a very reasonable hand made find. Luckily, she offers international shipping!
